  • Sept 10 – League of Women Voters Forum:  Edina City Council candidates – 7 PM, Chamber, Edina City Hall.  DFL46 has two Letter of Support candidates this year:  Patrick Gage, and Alicia Gibson.  SUBMIT questions HERE.   https://tinyurl.com/lwvecandidateforums .  
  • Sept 11 – Special Door Knock for State Auditor candidate Zach Filipovich.  Rally with Zach at the Coordinated Campaign West Metro office, 4800 Olson Memorial Hwy, 150B, Golden Valley.   Meet at 5:00 pm for inspiration, doorknock packets, and training.  Then we’ll head back to St. Louis Park for some fun door knocking in our district.   
    Zach is a first-time statewide candidate, so one of the biggest challenges is simply getting his name known.  Even Steve Simon, who has served in statewide office for years, isn’t recognized by about 20% of voters.  So building name recognition for a first-time statewide candidate is no small task.  To help Zach cross the 1st place winners line, we need to introduce him to voters, build his visibility, and make sure they know who he is and what he stands for.  Please Sign Up . Or contact chair@SD46DFL.org
    It would be great to have at least 6-8 volunteers!  SD43 has about 12 people already signed up.

  • Sept. 20 – Latino Cultural Festival.   2-6 PM at Downtown Park in Hopkins, 40 9th Ave. S.  DFL46 will have a tent decorated for the occasion!  Our focus is voter outreach–helping people learn more about the upcoming election, where and how to vote, how to register, and other important voting information. We’ll have materials available in both English and Spanish. Stop by and practice your Español!  Let’s us know if you’d like to help with set up and staffing.

  • Sept. 24 (TBD – might change)– DFL46 Day of Action. Join us as we attempt to knock 1000 doors!  We need 25 people. More next week 🙂
  • Sept. 26 –   DFL Farmer-Labor Picnic – Saturday, September 26, 1-4 PM, St. Paul.  Support the State DFL Party, host of this family-friendly picnic.
  • Oct 16 – Join our Stroll to the Polls in support of the first day of In-Person Early Voting.
