March 27 DFL46 Open House & Committee of Correspondence workshop. Meet at 6-8 PM, Lenox Community Center, SLP. Meet the executive team. Learn about & sign up for committee work, sign making and discussion. Bring sign making materials – markers, old sheets, colored vinyl paper, scissors, stable gun, big roll paper, glue, paint stir sticks, staplers, cardboard, old vinyl banners & signs, etc.
April 6 DFL 46 EduCivics Speaker Series. Topic: Minnesota and the Boundary Waters: Protecting Water Today and for Future Generations. Hear the remarkable story of how everyday citizens united to establish the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA). Learn about the threat of dangerous mining pollutants to our waterways. Speaker: Chris Knopf, executive director, Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness.
