CAPITOL  STARS - SD 46 DFL RELAY FOR LIFE TEAM

Please join our  team, the CAPITOL STARS at the American Cancer Society Relay For Life®  Friday July 9th at Brooklyn Center High School.  Together we can make a  difference in the fight against cancer.  To reach our team's goal, we need donations of $195 more.  Please make a donation of any amount to the American Cancer society in the name of the CAPITOL STARS.  Our team is named the CAPITOL  STARS in honor of our Senate District 46 DFL Stars at the State Capitol,  Senator Linda Scheid, Representative Mike Nelson, and Representative  Debra Hilstrom.

 You're Invited to a Reception
Senator Linda Scheid Will Be Honored as Legislator of the Year

     L inda Scheid will be honored as Legislator of the Year
     by the American Cancer Society.   

Reception at Brooklyn Center High School

     Friday, July 9 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.  

Senator Scheid, a cancer survivor and member of the Minnesota Legislative Cancer Caucus, was chief author of the Oral Chemotherapy Parity Act of 2010, a law that helps cancer patients obtain affordable access to oral chemotherapy medications.

Refreshments will be served.

Other Relay Activities

After the reception for Senator Scheid, there will be an  incredible ceremony to celebrate cancer survivors and caregivers.  Then we’ll take turns walking around the Brooklyn Center High School track. At dusk, a moving ceremony is held to honor and remember those who have  fought the disease.  Relay is a night full of fun, hope, and remembrance  - a life-changing experience.
